Kathryn, or Kate, as her friends call her, is a Dallas native and a graduate of Sam Houston State University's Musical Theatre B.F.A. Program. Kate is currently based in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, where she has been seen on many stages including most recently in Dallas Theater Center’s A Christmas Carol. Other DFW credits include the World Premiere of Creep with WaterTower Theatre, several productions with Lyric Stage including The Music Man as Ethel Toffelmier, Theatre Three's Crazy for You as Patricia Fodor, PFamily Arts' Side Show as Dolly Dimples, and at Houston's Stages Repertory Theatre as Ferdinand in Ferdinand the Bull. Some of her favorite roles include Sam in Some Girl(s), Guido's Mother in Nine, and Jack's Mother in Into the Woods, as well as Nancy in Frozen and Cookie in Rumors, both of which she performed in rep during Sam Houston's 2010 Summer Repertory Season. Kate has also toured nationally with Dallas Children's Theater as Mrs. Little in Stuart Little.
Aside from her work in theatre, Kate's truest passion is cabaret. Her one-woman show Love Me, Tinder, a cabaret about the pitfalls of online dating, garnered much success at the 2015 Festival of Independent Theatres. The show went on to play at WaterTower Theatre's Community Cast Party and at The West End Lounge in New York City! Kate is currently writing her second one-woman cabaret, "NOBODY KNOWS WHAT THEY’RE DOING!," which will premiere in Summer 2019.
Kate calls herself an actor, singer, and passionate mover - the true triple threat! She continues to be invested in DFW theatre, and is a co-founder/producer of Little Big Scene Podcast, which served to discuss issues and promote the work within the DFW theatre community. She is a fervent student, continuing her training through acting classes, voice lessons, and watching a lot of YouTube makeup tutorials.
Kate loves her family, and especially her two amazing sisters. Kate recently got married to the love of her life, after being set up by her mom.
